I had my first psychotherapy session in September 2023. After answering some questions and completing mental coherence tests, I was prescribed medication. After taking it for about two weeks, I discontinued the medication because it seemed ineffective and the side effects made me constantly drowsy.
In December 2024, I sought help at a different hospital, where I went through the same evaluation process. This time, I specifically requested medication with mild side effects. While this medication didn't cause any discomfort, it also proved ineffective.
Most recently, in January 2025, I tried a third medication with stronger side effects. I stopped taking it after just two days because it caused significant discomfort throughout the day.
I realized that medication might not be what I need. Instead, I need to engage with the real world, connect with people, and pursue what truly matters to me.
